Overview

E2A Learning is an online learning platform for students preparing for Cambridge International AS and A Level examinations. A student works through a subject in a structured sequence — video lessons, chapter quizzes, then past-paper practice — while a progress view shows what has been completed.

From an engineering point of view it is a multi-client product: a Next.js web application for students, a separate admin application for managing content, an Expo/React Native mobile app, and an Express API backed by MongoDB through Prisma that all of them talk to. The data model covers subjects, chapters, lessons, quizzes and attempts, solved past papers, progress records, and the commerce side — bundles, cart and checkout orders, purchases and access grants.

The interesting problems are the ones typical of a learning platform: modelling course content so it can be reordered and partially previewed for free, deciding who is allowed to see which lesson once a purchase is made, streaming video efficiently, and keeping web and mobile in sync on a single source of truth.
